My sincere prayers for Nigerian women who are working hard to make it in life

These are my sincere prayers for Nigerian women who are working hard to make it in life.

I swear, it’s not easy being a Nigerian woman. It should be included in the constitution as one of the toughest things to do.

From parents raising girls for marriage and telling them not to travel abroad for their education because it will chase prospective husbands away, to men telling women to pretend they are dumb so that they can marry them.

From being denied positions that they are equipped for because of their gender to being expected to give their jobs and careers for marriages with insecure, average men, Nigerian women go through a lot.

Being a Nigerian woman is not for the faint hearted. You are constantly fighting deep seated patriarchy from men and women alike. When you refuse to bow to the system, you are called proud, arrogant, unsubmissive and unmarriageable.

Here are my sincere prayers for Nigerian women as they navigate the murky waters of this patriarchal society:

May you not end up with a Man who will destroy your life and destroy with sweet relationship talks.

May you be separated from people who will only give you attention, help you and celebrate you when you die.

 

 

May you be far from people who won’t relate with you until something bad happens and they will be the first to tell you sorry.

May you not be close to people who will talk badly about you before your helpers because they don’t want you to be more successful than them.

May you be far from enemies disguising as friends who are secretly praying for your downfall but are supporting you openly.

May you not be a victim of any man’s wickedness. May you not be a victim of any man’s mistakes. May you never be at the wrong place at the wrong time.

May you not marry your enemy. May God expose any man who is pretending to love you so that he can command you to lose your financial power.

May you not come in contact with a man whose shady line of work or business will land you in police net or prison.

May you not be in the wrong place at the wrong time and with the wrong people. May you cross parts with people who will put you in trouble.

May all your efforts yield fruits of success. You will not build for another to inhabit. You will not labour in vain. You will not work and others enjoy. You will eat the fruits of your hard work.

May you not die suddenly when you have achieved success. You will live long in good health and sound mind to enjoy the fruit of your hard work.

May wealth and riches be yours! May goodness and mercy follow you all the days of your life. May you not die at the edge of your breakthrough.
