Nigerian evangelist criticizes singer Chidinma Ekile for not changing her mode of dressing after giving her life to Christ
A Nigerian evangelist, Victor Edet, has criticized newly converted gospel singer, Chidinma EKile, for not changing her dress sense and style despite claiming to be born again.
Chidinma Ekile recently announced her decision to stop secular music and embraced gospel music as she is now born again.
Edet in his post said since Chidinma announced her decision to become a born again, the way she walks, speaks and dresses automatically needs to change.
His post on Facebook reads:
”When a person is born again, everything about that person changes both internally and externally. The way she walks, speaks and dresses automatically changes.
This girl, Chidinma, claims to be born again, but she still dresses almost as she dressed in the world. The way you dress in the world should not be the same as you should dress in the Lord. There MUST be a change when you really meet the Lord.
You cannot be reborn and still wear makeup, earrings, eyelashes, false nails, weave on, accessories, rings, and pants. These things are from Satan and it is from the world.”
If there is one thing singer Chidinma Ekile is unashamed about, it is her salvation. The singer went viral weeks ago when she announced that she is now born again and will no longer do secular music.
Many Nigerians celebrated her new life in Christ. In a recent Instagram post, the Kedike crooner took her evangelism to the street as she preached to some men in a beer parlour.
Besides her confidence in spreading the good news about her religion, what amazed many people was how she spoke with the men in fluent Yoruba despite being an Igbo lady. The men welcomed her as all of them interacted well.
During their conversation, Chidinma Ekile said she is not ashamed of Christianity. After the preaching, the musician led them in a prayer session.
