10 things you should know about the late actress Ada Ameh

Nollywood lost a talented actress when Ada Ameh died. She was known for her acting prowess because she interpreted her roles very well.

Below are 10 things women should know about Ada Ameh:

1. Ada Ameh was born on May 15, 1974.

2. Ameh was a native of Idoma in Benue State, but she was born and raised in Ajegunle in Lagos State, a south western geographical part of Nigeria predominantly occupied by the Yoruba speaking people of Nigeria.

3. Ada Ameh received both primary and secondary school education in Lagos state but would eventually quit school at age 14.

4. In 1995, she officially became part of the Nigerian movie industry Nollywood and received her first movie role in 1996 where she played the character Anita in the movie “Domitila” a movie that eventually became a successful and solid project. The movie was produced and directed by Zeb Ejiro.

5. Ada Ameh also featured in the Nigerian Tv series titled The Johnsons which also become a successful project that received awards

6. She spent more than two decades in the Nigerian movie industry entertaining Nigerians and making a name for herself in Nollywood.

7. In The Johnsons Tv series, the late actress featured alongside other Nollywood actors such as Charles InojieChinedu Ikedieze & Olumide Oworu.

8. Ameh had a daughter whom she gave birth to at age of 14. Her daughter died in October 2020.

9. In June 2022, Ada Ameh revealed that she was battling mental health issues which made a client sue her for not delivering on the job she promised to do.

10. Ada Ameh died on Sunday 17 July 2022 in Warri, Delta State, around 11pm.

According to the report, a source who pleaded anonymity, said Ameh was a guest of an oil company top shot and his family when she suddenly collapsed.

She was rushed to the Nigerian National Petroleum Hospital but passed on before they arrived at the facility.

The President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Mr. Emeka Rollas confirmed the news of her death to a media house.
