Fans Love Viral Video of Drew Barrymore in the Rain
Is Drew Barrymore the most Pisces person to ever live?
A video of the actress whom many people consider the most sincere person ever to grace daytime television has gone viral due to a short but passionate walk in the rain.
The Charlie Angels star took a selfie video of herself laughing while outside, looking up at the sky and getting drenched. At one point she takes off her glasses and shakes her head with delight.
“Whenever you can, go out into the rain,” Barrymore says in the video, later posted to TikTok. “DO NOT MISS THE OPPORTUNITY,” she added, screaming. Then the video ends.
And the internet can’t seem to get enough. Her post has received nearly 500,000 likes on Instagram and over 2 million on TikTok.
Over the weekend Drew’s positive rain vibes had the internet obsessed. Her name began trending on Twitter with her followers gushing about her childlike nature.
Barrymore grew up in a family of Hollywood stars and began acting herself when she was a child. She became addicted to drugs and alcohol at a very young age and went to rehab at age 13, leading many to praise her resilience and ability to tap into her “inner child.”
Amazingly, this is not the first time Barrymore has posted a video about how much she loves walking in the rain. Back in May she shared a video of herself soaking wet, but standing inside. “If it’s raining anywhere you are, just run out in the rain. Don’t miss the opportunity.”
Drew Barrymore opened up about her father, actor John Drew Barrymore, being a violent alcoholic, and her mother who struggled with parental responsibility. Her parents divorced when she was 9.
In an 2015 interview, Barrymore told the Guardian that her 14-year-old self imagined having a happy life at the age of 40 despite being consumed by so much negativity.
“I was so scared of not knowing where I was going. I really had a fear that I was going to die at 25,” Barrymore said, adding that even when things got dark, she always had a sense there should be goodness.
“I never went all the way into darkness. There were so many things I could have done that would have pushed me over the edge and I just knew not to go there.”
