A lady identified as Odunayo Olumale, 27, is in police custody in Oyo State for allegedly st@bbing her husband, Olamilekan Salaideen, 35, to de@th over s£x¥al demand.
Spokesperson of the command, SP Adewale Osifeso revealed that the suspect had returned to her husband’s house on that fateful day after three months of separation. The deceased reportedly made a s£x¥al advance to the suspect on the night of the incident but she turned it down.
This escalated into v#olence during which the deceased allegedly smashed his wife’s mobile phone. The suspect retaliated by allegedly st@bbing him with a kn#fe in the upper region of the chest.
The incident was reported at the Durbar Police Headquarters, Oyo town by the father of the deceased. The statement read, “On 17/11/2022 one Ismaila Tijani reported at Durbar Divisional police headquarters that about on 16/11/2022, his son, Olamilekan Salaideen, 35 was st@bbed to de@th by his wife, Odunayo.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased and his wife returned to their home in the Oko Oba area of Oyo town on the day of the incident after three months of separation. He made a move to have s£x¥al intercourse with his wife but was rejected, this further led to a struggle when the deceased collected and smashed his wife”s phone on the ground and in retaliation, she st@bbed him in the chest leading to his de@th.”
