ABC execs in ‘emergency meetings’ over alleged Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes affair

ABC execs have been holding “emergency meetings” to address the mayhem since news broke that “Good Morning America” anchors Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have been carrying on an alleged secret love affair, The Post has learned.

One source close to the situation said it’s possible that Robach, who is married to actor Andrew Shue, and Holmes, who is married to lawyer Marilee Fiebig, will “keep their jobs if their ratings hold up” in the coming weeks.

“It’s ultimately about the ratings,” the source said, adding that based on the attention this story is getting, “ratings are going to go through the roof.”

Another ABC insider close to the situation, however, noted that ABC News president Kim Godwin did not have any knowledge of the affair. A third source said the duo could face disciplinary actions if the co-hosts did not disclose the relationship.

“If ABC didn’t know, they should enforce company policy,” a high-level Hollywood source said. The details of ABC’s policy on inter-office relationships could not be immediately learned.

According to the source, one form of punishment could be suspension.

This story is good-old fashioned gossip,” the source added. “The biggest takeaway is that they were both stupid.”

Amy Robach and T. J. Holmes anchored “GMA” together on Thursday for the first time since the news broke. The duo did not directly address the alleged affair, but they awkwardly opened the show with Robach welcoming viewers to its “Friday eve” broadcast.

Moments before the 1 p.m. broadcast, Page Six broke the news that Robach and her husband were divorcing.

The news came after a whirlwind 24 hours, in which photos leaked to the Daily Mail on Wednesday showed the ABC broadcasters recently cozying up to each other and holding hands. Video also showed Holmes grabbing Robach’s butt as she leaned into the trunk of a car to remove an item during a jaunt to a cottage in upstate New York.

A  source told Page Six that the romance began in March, around the time Robach and Holmes were training together for the New York City Half Marathon.

Amy Robach, 49, has been married to former “Melrose Place” actor Shue since 2010, and Holmes, 45, wed his wife that same year. While Robach shares no children with Shue, she has two kids with her first husband, Tim McIntosh.
