Nigerian actress and comedian, Chigul, has warned younger men to stay away from her DM because she is not interested in dating them.

The 46-year-old movie star issued this public service announcement during an interview with media personality, Toke Makinwa.

Chigul said she tried dating younger men in the past, but it did not work out well and she has decided to never try it again. She said those in their forties might also not be considered for relationship by her standards.

She said that any man that wants to approach her would have to check his age and hers to make sure he is older than her.

According to her, she cannot have relatable conversations with younger men as he would not be to understand some references from her time.

She also added that said she does not want to be in a situation where she would be fighting with young girls because of a man.

Recently, Chigul  proudly revealed she got married as a virgin. Chigul stated that she got married at 33 and kept her chastity until that time, but the marriage crashed a year later.

“We were not perfect, there were good days I won’t lie. It just got to a place where we both didn’t care anymore. I have been made to believe that it was my job to keep that afloat and the fact that it sank, I take on my head.

Would I have changed anything about it? No, because it happened for a reason. I’m happy it happened at one year with no children and no attachments. I married at 33, I married a virgin. That was my first ever anything and it was supposed to be special and last,” she said.

Chigul, while reacting to Basketmouth’s ex-wife Elsie’s advice to Nigerians to stop “marriage-shaming” women, agreed that society puts a lot of pressure on women regarding marriage and childbearing.

She recalled how people had advised her to have a child in order to save her marriage.

“Someone told me, just born one hold am. I was like are we playing cards? Hold am kwa? Hiaaaan! Nigerians are too forward”, she wrote.
