“Such people don’t last long” Pete Edochie speaks on his grandson’s death
Veteran actor, Pete Edochie has spoken out for the first time on his grandson’s death.
It was reported on Wednesday, March 29, that the young champ passed on after developing a seizure while playing football with his school mates.
According to reports, Kambilichukwu was rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital, Lagos where he was pronounced dead.
Confirming the devastating news to Vanguard, Pete said Yul had called him on telephone to inform him of the incident.
Pete revealed that he and his family started praying for the child immediately Yul called them.
Speaking about the deceased, Pete Edochie revealed that his late grandson had exceptional qualities.
According to him, his grandson is a very quiet, brilliant and talented child. He isn’t somebody one can ride on easily and he doesn’t get angry no matter the situation.
He stated that the deceased was so accomplished and was an unusual person.
The legendary actor disclosed that he always told Yul that people like Kambili, who excel in everything they do, don’t last long on earth.
“Kambilinachukwu is a very quiet, brilliant and talented child. He’s not somebody you can ride easily. He doesn’t get angry no matter the situation.
He may change his composure, but he was definitely a very unusual person in so many respects. He was so accomplished. I always tell my son that I don’t like people excelling like this in any thing they are involved in. Experience has taught me that such people don’t last long”.
