Social media users are speculating that Ashanti may be expecting after the singer popped out for a recent performance with her boo, Nelly.
According to The St. Louis American, Nelly’s ‘Black and White’ Ball returned to St. Louis, Missouri, for its 11th commencement on Sunday, December 3.
Nelly attended the event with Ashanti on his arm. Additionally, the pair were joined by singer Monica, rapper Bow Wow and others.
KSDK reports that the event returned to the city after a 7-year hiatus. Additionally, proceeds from the evening are expected to be given to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and cover scholarships for Harris Stowe State University students.
“Small thing for us but a big thing for the kids, and any time you have that type of scenario, you gotta go with it,” Nelly reportedly explained at the event, per KSDK.
Ashanti and Nelly took to the stage during the evening as the singer performed her and Ja Rule’s 2022 hit single, “Mesmerize.” Footage from the event shows Nelly lip-synching Ja Rule’s adlibs on the track.
In a separate clip, Ashanti and Nelly fondle her stomach as the MC instructs the crowd to yell, “Seal the deal!”
Nelly and Ashanti continue to place their hands on her stomach as Nelly’s jaw drops in amusement. Then, Ashanti playfully slaps Nelly’s hand away.
Social media users entered The Shade Room’s comment section to share their reactions. Additionally, Many speculated that Ashanti is expecting her and Nelly’s first child together.
