Meet Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s husband whom she married in prison

0

During her years in prison, Gypsy Rose Blanchard married a man who she is now set to move in with – but how did this romance come about?

Gypsy was sentenced to 10 years behind bars in 2016 following the murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, in 2015.

Dee Dee had subjected Gypsy to years of abuse due to her later diagnosis of Munchausen by proxy syndrome, which involved Gypsy undergoing medical procedures that she did not need.

After meeting Nicholas Godejohn on a Christian dating website, Gypsy and her then-boyfriend plotted the murder of Dee Dee which Nicholas carried out.

The pair were apprehended shortly after, and Nicholas was handed a life sentence without parole while Gypsy was sentenced to 10 years in prison, of which she served seven before her release on Thursday (December 28).

The couple split up after the events that transpired and Gypsy Rose initially engaged in another romance with a man named Ken, who she met through the prison’s pen pal initiative.

The pair got engaged in 2019, but later that same year they announced that they had split up.

Three years later in 2022, Gypsy married Ryan Scott Anderson, though the details surrounding how they first connected from prison remain unclear, per Hollywood Life.

The whirlwind romance took a sudden turn when, shortly after their June 2022 wedding in Missouri, rumors of a split surfaced. Gypsy informed her family in November about her intention to file for an annulment, citing that they were “in different places in our lives” in a heartfelt letter, per In Touch.

“It is with a heavy heart that this morning I made a decision to go ahead and file for annulment and end my marriage with Ryan,” Gypsy expressed. However, despite the announcement, the legal paperwork for the annulment was never filed.

“I am a married woman, my [husband’s] name is Ryan Anderson, and we do NOT appreciate crazy people like you spreading lies. … I may look cute, but I have a smart-ass mouth, and I’m not afraid to tell you to go f*** yourself.”

According to People, Gypsy intends to move in with Ryan now that she has been released from prison.

Gypsy’s release from prison was shrouded in secrecy, and she has refused to give an interview to the media as she now begins her rehabilitation into life on the outside.
