It’s so easy to stay by the sidelines and tell somebody to forgive the person who hurt them and one who may not even be remorseful.

It’s easy. It’s so easy especially if you don’t know the full story and how much pain this person caused another person.

It’s so easy to tell a woman whose child was killed to forgive the one who murdered her child without thinking of her pain.

It’s so easy to tell someone to forgive the person who almost killed them because you feel it’s the right thing to say.

It’s easy to chant forgive and forget to someone who was wrongfully accused and who almost lost their life in the process without imagining what they went through.

Come, you people should stop forcing forgiveness on victims. It’s not easy to forgive someone who hurt you deeply no matter how good that word sounds.

You don’t force victims to forgive those who took something that cannot be replaced from them because your religion said so.

Allow people to process their pain, heal their hurts and try to get themselves together before hounding them with forgiveness.

The ones I don’t understand are those who claim to be pastors after years of being cult members who tell people to forgive and forget their painful experience as if it never happened.

What da hell is that?

Leave people alone to tell their stories. Let them ease their hearts of the pain they have been carrying for years. Stop telling them how to heal and what to do.

Stop telling them to let peace reign by keeping quiet about the painful moments they have been through in their lives. Leave them alone to heal.

Forgiveness is good. It cleanses the soul but it should be done after a victim has healed of the pain the perpetrator caused them.
