We have been married for five years but my husband still doesn’t trust me
A woman is at her wits end because her husband of five years keeps suspecting all her moves and telling her that she will cheat on him.
The lady says she’s tired of reassuring him that he’s the only man in her life and is asking for advice about what to do because she’s losing her mind.
Read her post below:
“We have been married for five years now but this man still does not trust me. He keeps saying I will cheat on him or insinuates that I am cheating on him.
This has made me cut off all my male friends just to please him and many more things I have done just to reassure him that I won’t cheat on him.
The last straw was when he called me a “harlot” saying I exhibited signs that I slept with someone. I am so angry right now and don’t know what to do.
I married this man as a virgin, so, I don’t understand why it’s now I will cheat or sleep around. He wasn’t one when I married him and I don’t rub it in his face, even when his Instagram feed is full of pictures of half-naked women.
I want to leave this marriage for him because I like my peace, abeg. Some are advising I keep reassuring him but I’m tired of this. Is there another way to handle this?”
First of all, this woman should know that without trust, a marriage will not last. Trust is one of the cornerstones of any relationship and without it, two people cannot be comfortable with each other.
Without trust, a relationship will lack stability. Trust builds slowly as people learn about their partners and they become predictable to them.
Couples or individuals within a relationship who feel a lack of trust with their partner often find themselves second guessing their partners actions and intentions, which often leads to many heated and emotional arguments.
