The 71st edition of Miss Universe was held in New Orleans at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, which welcomed the 84 contestants who competed gallantly representing their country.

The winner, R’Bonney Gabriel, received the crown from India’s Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu, who wore the crown in 2021.

Held several months later than usual, just because of changes in its organization, Miss Universe had several favorites from the start, who paraded in formal, traditional and swimsuit attire at a preview event, which was broadcast via YouTube on Wednesday.

For this year, one of the changes was that the jury chose 16 contestants for Saturday’s ceremony, instead of the traditional 20.
