Woman refuses to leave the car after man takes her to ’embarrassing’ restaurant on first date
One woman shocked the internet after she posted a 6-minute video of herself on a first date refusing to get out of the car after she was taken to an “embarrassing” restaurant.
In the video, which was shared to TikTok by Monique Santos, the woman could be seen tutting and scoffing as the man got out of his car to go and open her door.
“He’s got me at The Cheesecake Factory,” she tells the camera as she locks the door.
The man knocks on the window and she eventually winds it down to say: “This is The Cheesecake Factory. This is a chain restaurant. Who takes someone that looks like this to a chain restaurant?”
When the woman continues to hold her stance, he asks if she wants to talk about the issue before getting back into the vehicle.
“So, you expect a man to go all out on the first date, is that right?” he says to which she responds: “You’re supposed to. When you take out a beautiful woman and you’re courting her – because I get courted – you’re supposed to take care of her, you’re supposed to cover her, you’re supposed to protect her, cherish her, treat her well, right?”
He agrees with her and says: “I went into the date with expectations for myself – to keep you safe, to respect you, to pay for your food, to pick you up – and just treat you like a gentleman [should]. Which I believe I have done.”
Then he adds: “I, on the other hand, have certain expectations for a girl I go out with on a first date. I expect her to be respectful too, I expect her to be cooperative.”
Things only get worse when the woman insists she hasn’t been uncooperative in any way as her date lists a few of the things she did before even getting to the moment of refusal.
“I feel like I’m doing everything I’m supposed to do as a woman. I got myself all made up-“
“But there is nothing wrong with The Cheesecake Factory,” the man interjects.
Not only that, he goes on to reveal that he had to wait an extra hour for her because she was late coming down to which she tries to justify herself claiming that the two were strangers and that he does not know her properly yet.
The woman is seemingly unwavering however, as she questions: “Isn’t there another restaurant you can call that is equivalent to that? You don’t understand – look at me. I cannot go in The Cheesecake Factory. I will die. That’s embarrassing.”
But when the confused date replied with: “Maybe we are not right for each other so respectfully I’m going to just drop you off at home,” the woman started getting more agitated.
“Oh no he didn’t. So you just want to call it a night? Isn’t there some kind of compromise or something? Ladies, can you believe this?”
