Bride Shares Emotional Vows. Groom Only Promises to ‘Smack That A$$’ Instead, Shocking Everyone
A Kentucky couple is going viral after a moment from their wedding is garnering major attention online.
Kaitlin Brooks and Cody Sheehan’s September wedding in Kentucky went viral after footage was shared by videographer Samuel Foree for CK Entertainment Services. The vendor shared a clip across social media of Cody’s memorable vows.
After heartfelt vows from his bride, Cody looked at his officiant, then his wife-to-be, as he said, “I promise to smack that a– every chance I get.”
There were some laughs from the audience as the officiant tells him to proceed, he says, “That’s all I got.”
The room is silent as the officiant then asks, “Is that it?”
“Yeah,” Cody says laughing as the officiant urges him again to add to the moment. “C’mon Cody, are you sure?”
“I didn’t write nothin’ out,” Cody confirms.
Still shocked, the officiant says, “That’s what you’re goin’ out with?”
“That’s what I’m going with,” the groom confirms.
The moment has commenters buzzing as they imagine how they’d react if they found themselves in the same situation. While some couples appreciate the humor of it all, a number of brides said they’d be upset if their groom didn’t follow up or precede the funny moment with something more emotional.
“I’m sure she planned the whole wedding from the table cloths to his damn suit, and he couldn’t say a few words to express his love for her ????????,” one commenter wrote.
