Mixed reactions as woman reportedly dumps husband after she caught him flirting with pharmacy attendant
A Nigerian couple’s marriage has reportedly hit the rocks after the wife caught her husband flirting with another woman.
It was learned that the man, who was a regular customer at a pharmacy near their home, had a habit of flirting with one of the attendants whenever he went there to buy something.
In his usual flirtatious habit, he was holding hands with the female attendant recently when his wife walked into the pharmacy and caught him in the act.
She angrily stormed out of the pharmacy, and on getting home, she called it quits with her husband.
A Twitter user who shared the tale on the platform said the incident left the man devastated, and he’s no longer his bubbly self.
“This man always comes to flirt with one of our pharmacy attendants before buying what he wants to buy. Last month his wife walked in on him holding her hands and flirting. She heard everything & stormed out of the pharmacy. I saw him last night and he told me that she left him.
I’ve never seen him not smiling but i did last night for the very first time when he walked in to check his blood pressure. He didn’t even say a word to the pharmacy attendant.” The Twitter user wrote.
The couple’s story, however, sparked a debate on the micro-blogging platform. While others noted that the wife did the right thing by leaving her husband for flirting, others opined that it’s not enough reason to end her marriage.
A Twitter user said that she should have calmly begged her husband to stop embarrassing her in public but fight for her marriage with prayers.
Another user added that the woman had wanted to leave her husband and used this flirting episode to carry out her plans. He added that flirting is not enough to end a marriage.
