According to The Baltimore BannerWill Smith took the stage, delivering an impromptu, supportive speech dedicated to the actress amid public discourse on the sanctity of their relationship. Their children Trey, Jaden, and Willow Smith joined the separated couple on stage.

The group traveled to the East Coast to celebrate Pinkett Smith’s mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris’ 70th birthday.

“I just really wanted to come out and just be here and hold it down for you the way you have held it down for me,” shared Will Smith as he addressed the excited audience for thirteen minutes.

Describing their relationship as “brutiful,” a portmanteau of brutal and beautiful, the Academy Award-winning talent continued, “And as I stand here before you today, I am happier than I’ve ever been in my entire life. I have achieved every single thing I have ever wanted in my entire life. There is not one thing left that I desire in this world — all of the awards, all of the money, the family — everything I’ve ever dreamed.”

After the Bad Boys franchise actor thanked Baltimore for “being a place for Jada to find her voice,” the surprised actress let him know the event was over.

As Jada Pinkett Smith continues to promote her memoir Worthy, private details of her personal life have become public. One of those facts is that she and Will Smith have been separated since 2016 and are steadily working on their relationship.

She recently teased the two collaborating on a book titled Don’t Try This at Home.

“I hope one day we can write a book together and just how we’ve been through so much. And all the gates of relating that we’ve been through,” she explained. “And there’s been many, and many to come. Right? But… The process that he’s going through right now, I think would be so helpful to so many men.”
