The days he had to remain at home lonely when she had to go for emergency spinal surgeries.
You were not there.
But you see that woman bowing in reverence to that man on whose arms she had leaned through the years and you are tapping into the grace.
You love the way that mountain of a woman worships him. How he is everything to her.
How she keeps saying:
“Wait. Let me ask my husband.”
And you are filled with so much admiration.
What you have not found out yet is what he had to go through to help her become who she is.
Like James and John who craved to sit beside the Lord in glory, they had no idea what the baptism he had to be baptized with was. Yet they were tapping.
When Jesus told them:
