You have probably heard it many times before, but love happens in the most unexpected ways, and that’s exactly how the story went in the Embley-Nielson family.
Their love story started as the ‘regular’ meet-and-greet but turned into something totally different: accepting a mixed-orientation marriage.
Matthew Nielson and Brynn Embley have been married for years, and they share 2 daughters – Guinevere and Amandine. The two met at a social gathering and immediately felt an instant click and shared common interests.
However, there’s a twist to the story. You see, Matthew is gay. After a few dates, he decided to tell her that he was gay. The surprising thing though was that Brynn didn’t care one bit, and she was actually thrilled to know that he chose to spend time with her. To her, it was true love and that’s all that matters.
According to the couple, some of their friends and family were hurt and offended when they heard about the mixed-orientation relationship, they accepted their love and relationship.
Even though they were afraid at first of whether their relationship would work, especially in terms of intimacy and physical attraction, they both realized that there was chemistry in other important aspects, and they were compatible together.
The happy family now lives in Michigan with their two daughters, and they want to share their love with the rest of the world and hope to bring peace and equality.
