Just like she promised, Joy Isi Bewaji has filed a lawsuit against Hymar Idibie David. She is requesting for his office or residential address so that he can be served the court papers.
Joy Isi Bewaji wrote:
“Hymar,
Be informed that the referred suit attached has been instituted against you.
My lawyers had requested your office or residential address to enable the bailiffs of court serve you with the court summons.
But you are yet to respond even after you would. said you
It’s been 6 days.
In view of your refusal to oblige us with your address for service, we would proceed with an application to court for substituted service of same on you.
And in case you claim our emails have gone to spam, we would again hint you on WhatsApp and on Facebook inbox and DM.
So go and check your email.
See you in court.”
Responding to Joy’s post on Facebook, Hymar Idibie posted a picture of popular Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze aka Aki and wrote #WhatWouldMuyiwadDo.
Before then, Joy made this post:
“I have learnt a lot pursuing a civil and criminal case in just one week.
My lawyers have been very proficient.
My counsel is amazing. She don carry de matter for head like say na she be claimant. Lol.
She leaves no stone unturned.
I get to sign documents as early as 7am just so they can get to the courts.
And I ask a lot of questions because it’s all so new to me, but I love it!
For the police, the process has been smooth.
DPO is sympathetic.
I wasn’t so sure how they’d respond at first, but they’ve been very professional.
I carry my head high and I speak without fear or shame.

I’ve written statements, and connected both my lawyer with the police so the documents are signed and acknowledged.
I have prioritized this.
Because I want to do one thing that needs to be done.
This isn’t cruise. This is real.
This will be the reference for all others who need to do the same. I will encourage everyone, henceforth, to sue for libel.
